Founder of Verand. Fifteen years of SEO, AEO & GEO for regulated industries, now building and measuring for the answers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude give. Writes about what a regulated firm can publish, and where the AI assistants find it.

Daniel Di Cerbo is the founder of Verand, the content operations platform that writes, gates and tracks content for firms where a wrong claim is a regulatory event, not a typo. He runs product and positioning, writes the compliance packs alongside the compliance editor, and still operates the two production sites Verand was built on.
He came to AI search from fifteen years of doing it by hand. He founded and ran a digital marketing agency, doing SEO for clients in highly regulated industries, where every claim needed a source and every source needed a check. He then took that playbook into real estate: he co-founded Willowdale Equity in 2019, a multifamily syndication firm, and applied growth strategy to a legacy industry that ran on referrals and PDFs. The firm has sponsored over $150M of multifamily acquisitions across Georgia and Texas, and its site went from roughly 500 visitors a month to more than 30,000 on content that clears Reg D marketing rules before it publishes. The same playbook ran on his other sites in unrelated industries, with the same shape of result.
Since 2023 he has spent most of his working time inside the generative models themselves: building with them, testing what they cite and why, and rebuilding his content operation around answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization as search stopped ending at ten blue links. The 46 checks and the prompt sets Verand runs are the written-down version of that work: what gets a page named in an answer, measured across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity and Claude, rather than guessed.
He describes himself as a growth hacker: early to whatever the newest channel is, and quick to turn it into a repeatable operation. AI search is the current one, and he writes about what a regulated firm can publish to be one of the sources it names.
Founded and ran an SEO and digital marketing agency, with clients in highly regulated industries. Where the rule came from that every claim needs a source, and every source needs a check.
Co-founded a multifamily syndication firm and ran growth for it in a legacy, heavily regulated industry. Co-Founder and Principal, sponsor on over $150M of multifamily acquisitions across Georgia and Texas. Grew willowdaleequity.com from about 500 visitors a month to more than 30,000.
Ran the same strategies on his other sites in unrelated verticals, with the same shape of result. The playbook was the constant; the industry was not.
Turned the operation into a product: 46 deterministic checks, 14 compliance packs, a hard publish gate, and daily tracking across six AI assistants, so a regulated firm can publish without a lawyer reading every draft.
Discovery split in two. Buyers still search Google, and now they ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, which answer from whichever pages state the thing plainly and safely. A regulated firm cannot chase that with generic AI content, because the generic sentence is exactly the one that fails compliance.
Daniel built Verand because he had already solved that on his own sites, by hand, and none of the tools he could buy gated a single claim. Verand is that process with the hands removed: the writing, the 46 checks, the gate, and the tracking that shows where the answers name you.
The model does not rank firms. It ranks sentences about firms, and most regulated firms have never been allowed to write one.

Daniel writes under Verand's editorial standards. Every figure traces to a scan, a primary source or a named file, and every regulatory reference is checked against the compliance pack it cites. Packs are AI-researched and operator-reviewed, not attorney-verified, and nothing here is legal advice. See the compliance standards.
Everything on this page also leaves in the markup: the role, the track record, the expertise list and the employer, as a ProfilePage and a Person. It is written for crawlers, so none of it renders.
Daniel's articles publish on the Verand blog. Each one names him in the byline and links back here, and this page lists them as they go live.
