The cap counts checks, not phrases. Google serves a genuinely different results page per device and per country, so the same phrase on desktop as well as mobile is a second slot, and a second country is another again. The allowance is a pool across every site in your organization, not a fresh one for each site you add.

How is this different from Search Console's position?

Search Console reports an average position across every impression in your date range, blended across devices, countries and personalised results, and only for queries you already rank for. Verand checks the results page itself and records the position it found that day, for one phrase, in one country, on one device. Both are in the product, and they answer different questions.

What counts against my keyword allowance?

One slot is one check a day. The same phrase on desktop as well as mobile is two slots, and a second country is another again. The allowance is a pool across every site in your organization, so 300 on Growth is 300 across your sites rather than 300 each. The ladder is 100, 300, 750 and 2,000 from Starter to Agency, and 5,000 on Managed.

Does tracking competitors cost extra?

No. A rival's position is read out of the same results page already fetched for your keyword, so share of voice and the head-to-head table add nothing. Rivals are chosen once in the Brand Hub, and unlike keywords they are counted per site rather than pooled: five on Starter, up to forty on Agency.

How deep does the scan go?

Day to day it reads the first two pages, which is where positions actually move. Once a week it runs to 100, so a keyword sitting at 34 gets a real number rather than a blank. In between, the table carries the last confirmed deep reading forward and marks it, rather than showing a deep-ranking keyword as having vanished.

When does the first scan run?

Adding keywords queues a scan straight away instead of waiting for tomorrow's, debounced so that adding three batches in a row does not trigger three scans. After that it runs once a day, and you can trigger an extra scan yourself within a per-plan limit.

Can I export the rankings?

CSV or Excel, sixteen columns with the rival positions in the same sheet. Bulk export of Verand's analysis opens when your plan starts; during the trial you can read all of it on screen. Your own articles export on any plan. A PDF report is not built yet, and the menu says so rather than pretending.
