Google gives you two halves. Verand joins them per page.

One funnel from query to conversion, attributed to the page that earned it. Verand reads both Google accounts, once a day and the moment you connect, and writes nothing back.

The join

Two Google accounts,
one funnel per page.

Search Console stops at the click. Analytics starts at the session and has no idea which query produced it. Verand joins both onto the landing page, so one row runs impressions, clicks, visitors, engaged visits and conversions. The widest drop is named: seen but not clicked is the title and meta, clicked but not engaged is the body, engaged but not converting is the call to action.

Per landing page

Which article ranks.
Which one earns.

One table, both halves. Impressions and average position come from Search Console, visitors, conversions and engagement rate from Analytics, matched on the URL. A page pulling 96,400 impressions into 1,180 clicks and 2,040 visitors has a title problem, not a content problem, and you can read that off a single row instead of two browser tabs.

Core updates

Google's own updates,
on your own axis.

Confirmed ranking updates come off Google's Search Status Dashboard and land on every time series as dated markers. Your own events go beside them: the day it went live, what kind of change it was, a label, an optional note. The change type sets the marker colour, so a drop has a date next to a cause instead of a guess.

Geography

Where the demand
actually is.

Visitors by country, region and city, shaded on a map you can zoom, drag and open full size. Three quarters of this site's visitors sit in one country, and the Region tab splits that figure by state. For a practice licensed in a handful of states, that split is the difference between traffic and clients.

How it works

Two connections, then it keeps itself current.

Both APIs are free and read-only. Nothing to install, no tag to add, no allowance spent.

Start for free
Free · read-only · about 2 minutes
  • Read-only. We never write to either account, and you can disconnect from Settings whenever you like.
01

Connect the two accounts

OAuth against your own Search Console and Analytics properties, read-only scopes, about two minutes. Either one fills the tab; both give you the whole funnel.

Search + Analytics sync

02

It syncs on connect, then daily

Connecting kicks its own first run rather than waiting for a schedule to come round. After that it runs once a day: two API calls and an update, no page fetching and no model.

03

28 days, joined per URL

Each run pulls the 28 days ending two days back, because Search Console's own reporting lags about that long, and writes the numbers onto pages the crawl has already found.

The rest of the product reads it

Page Tracker, the Topical Map and Opportunities all read those columns. Striking distance, low CTR and traffic-but-no-engagement are rows that exist because this join ran.

Questions

What people ask before they connect Google.

What is read, how often, and what Verand will never write back.

Does Verand change anything in my Search Console or Analytics?

No. The scopes it asks for are webmasters.readonly and analytics.readonly, which cannot write. It runs reports, stores the numbers against your pages, and never submits, annotates, edits or deletes anything in either account. Disconnect either one in Settings and the reading stops. What is read and where it is kept is set out on How Verand uses Google services.

How fresh is it, and why does the window stop two days ago?

The sync runs the moment you connect either account, and once a day after that. It pulls a 28-day window ending two days back, because Search Console's own reporting lags roughly two days and a window running to today would report a fall that is really just missing data. The charts on the tab read live from Google at whatever range you pick, from 7 days to a year.

What does joining them show that neither one shows alone?

Where a page loses people. Search Console ends at the click and Analytics begins at the session, so on their own you get a page that ranks and a page that converts with no way to tell they are the same page. Joined, one row shows 1,742,905 impressions turning into 24,174 clicks, and the stage that leaks is named and routed to the fix.

Is this the same thing as Keyword Tracking?

No, and the difference matters. Search Console's position is an average across the window, every device and every location, and it only covers phrases you already get impressions for. Keyword Tracking reads the results page itself, once a day, for one phrase in one country on one device, including phrases you do not rank for at all. This tab is free on every plan; tracked keywords are metered.

What if I only connect one of the two?

Either one fills the tab on its own. Search Console alone gives you queries, impressions, clicks, CTR, position, countries and devices. Analytics alone gives you visitors, engagement, traffic sources and conversions. The funnel card and the per-page join need both, and any card that cannot be drawn says which account is missing rather than showing you a zero.

Where do the core-update markers come from, and can I add my own events?

The markers are Google's confirmed ranking updates, synced monthly from its Search Status Dashboard into one shared table, so the dates are the same for every customer and cost nothing per site. Your own annotations are per site: a date, a change type from the list, a label and an optional note. Both render on the same axis, and both show up in the hover readout for that day.

SEO Analytics

Your search data, finally joined up.

Free on every plan, read-only on both accounts, and running the day you connect. Search Console takes about two minutes.
