First-hand facts are the one thing a generic AI tool cannot copy. Add them once, in your own words. Verand weaves them into every draft where they fit and never invents the ones you didn't give it.

On Mill Gardens, a 69-unit community in Middle Georgia, we doubled the property's value in under 15 months by growing NOI, not by waiting on cap-rate compression.

Two to five questions, derived from the brief and anchored to the topic. Questions the base already answers are skipped; definitional topics get none. Every one is optional.

We walked from a 2023 coastal deal when insurance quotes during diligence came in materially higher than the seller's T-12 reflected, which broke the underwriting.

Draft · section 4, Verify the actuals

A rent roll is a claim, not a fact. On an 88-unit deal in Middle Georgia the seller's rent roll showed 88% occupancy; a daytime tour found two cars in the parking lot, and we passed. We underwrite 100+ deals to close one, and most of the ones we pass on fail at exactly this step. Insurance is the other line that moves late: on a 2023 coastal deal, quotes during diligence came in materially higher than the T-12 reflected, and we walked.

First-hand experience

Weak first-hand voice. Add explicit experience phrasing ('in our experience', 'we've found') so the article reads as lived expertise, not generic content.

Questions

What people ask before they add the first fact.

What counts, what is capped, and what Verand will never invent.

What counts as an experience fact?

One sentence you can stand behind: a client outcome, an opinion, a methodology, a credential or event, or an industry observation. Those are the five types. Each can carry a note on when to use it and when not to.

Is there a limit?

No. The knowledge base is uncapped on every plan. It is your own data, and it is the part of Verand that gets more valuable the longer you use it.

Does onboarding fill it for me?

No, and on purpose. Onboarding captures your voice and positioning. Your first demo article is written with an empty knowledge base and says so, which is why its E-E-A-T score starts low.

Can Verand make up experience?

No. A draft with an unfilled experience placeholder fails validation outright. When you ask for the first-hand-voice fix and the base has nothing relevant, it declines rather than inventing something.

What about documents and links?

Knowledge Items take pasted text, uploaded files up to 5 MB, and links. Text items are embedded and the most relevant eight are handed to the drafter as reference material, kept separate from first-hand authority.

Can I add facts from Claude?

Yes. The MCP connector has an add-facts tool. It stores and embeds up to ten facts per call, and it refuses to save anything it could not embed, so nothing lands where the generator could never find it.

Knowledge base

Start with three facts.

One sentence each is enough, and three or four is a real start. Every article after that carries them.
