Which domains the assistants actually cite, and where you are missing.

Every source six assistants cite for your topics, typed as yours, a competitor's, a community site or independent editorial, and ranked by how often. Where to earn a mention, not where to rank.

Four types

Every cited domain
is typed on sight.

Owned is the domain on your site record, with www and every subdomain folded in. Competitor is one of the rivals you track in the Brand Hub. UGC is a fixed list of twelve community and social platforms, and everything else is editorial. Four types, decided in code rather than by a model.

Every cited URL

The page,
not just the domain.

Each source arrives with its format, the assistants that cited it, how many times it was used and its share of every citation in the window. Open a row for the engines in full, the number of prompts it answered, and what to do about it. Your own pages are marked in the table, so a win is visible without hunting for it.

The format mix

Guides, ranked lists,
forums and video.

Ten formats, read from each URL and title: topic guide, how-to, ranked list, comparison, news, video, forum, social post, directory profile and other. Hover a wedge for your share of that format and the three sites earning most of its citations. A URL that could not be placed shows a dash rather than a guess.

The gap

Everything cited
that isn't you.

The twelve most-cited sources that are not on your domain, each with its type, its format, its domain authority where we hold one, and one action. A competitor's page says publish a stronger owned equivalent. A community page says earn organic mentions. Everything else says earn a mention or match its depth.

How it works

Six assistants answer. Every source is kept.

Four steps between a buyer's question and a list of places worth earning. Prompts run unbranded by default, so the field you see is the one you have to win.

Questions

What people ask when the map is mostly other people.

How the typing is decided, what the gap actually contains, and what this tab does not do.

How does a domain get typed?

In code, by three comparisons in order: your site's own domain, then the competitors you track, then a fixed list of twelve community platforms. Anything that matches none of the three is typed editorial. There is no model call and nothing to configure, so the same domain types the same way every scan.

What counts as owned if I have more than one domain?

One domain: the one on the site record. www and every subdomain fold into it, so blog.yoursite.com and shop.yoursite.com both read as owned. A second brand domain does not. It is a separate site with its own Sources tab, and on this one it will be typed editorial until you open it there.

Which sites are treated as UGC?

Twelve entries: Reddit, Quora, YouTube on both of its domains, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and X, TikTok, Medium, LinkedIn and Pinterest. The list is ours and is not editable. Anything off it, including Wikipedia, review sites and niche forums, is typed editorial, so read UGC as the large social platforms rather than as every community page.

Where do the content formats come from?

One classification pass over the URL and title of your sixty most-cited sources, run inside the scan on a fixed thirty-day window. It is the only model call on this tab, everything else is arithmetic, and it fails quietly: a source it cannot place shows a dash instead of a guess. The wedge sizes are that fixed window, while your share of a format follows the filters you have set, so the two can disagree.

Is the gap only about competitors?

No. It is every cited source that is not on your domain, ranked by citation count and cut to the top twelve, so most of it is usually independent editorial rather than rivals. The line under the heading counts competitor citations separately, which is how you tell a field you can be published into from one you have to outrank.

Which assistants, how often, and what changes by plan?

Six. ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode run daily; Perplexity and Claude run weekly, on Mondays. Starter shows three of them, Growth five, Professional and above all six. Breadth of engines is the only thing a plan changes here: the tab, the typing and the gap are the same on every plan, and running a scan by hand covers every engine your plan includes.
